I was fortunate to "get in" on the Internet back in 1995. I'm best known for two of my web sites:
I started this site back in July 1996 so I wouldn't have to teach a class on Web design. Since I'm one of those extremely clever marketing folks, I chose a name that had marketing appeal and was edgy. I could have more accurately called the site "Web Pages That Have Problems" but nobody would remember and it's boring. I'm not boring.
The site quickly became a success -- winning numerous awards including PC Magazine's Hot 100 and Yahoo! Pick of the Week. The site receives between 5,000 and 15,000 visitors daily. Here's a screen shot showing the visitors to the Daily Sucker on September 11, 2003 in the left column and the total number who visited the page since March 2003.
This site is the successor to Web Pages That Suck and it is currently being revised. Part of its new focus will be on non-profit web sites.
